Scott A. Chaplan is an expert in real estate development, acquisitions and dispositions, financing, construction and related litigation. Additionally, Mr. Chaplan’s practice areas include mergers and acquisitions as well as business formation, dissolution, mergers & acquisitions as well as tax-exempt and charitable organizations and entertainment law. Born in Los Angeles, California in 1964, Mr. Chaplan was admitted to the bar in California in 1991. He earned his B.S. degree from the University of Southern California and his J.D. from Pepperdine University, where he was a member of the Pepperdine Law Review, 1989-1991 and Phi Alpha Delta. Presently, Mr. Chaplan is a an adjunct professor on Pepperdine’s faculty where he teaches entrepreneurship and serves on the advisory board of the Schools Palmer Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology Law.

A licensed real estate broker, Mr. Chaplan is a member of the American Bar Association (Litigation, Real Property and Entertainment Law Sections), the Los Angeles Trial Lawyers Association and the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors. He is a member of Town Hall Los Angeles and the World Affairs Council.
